在炎热的夏天,这台机器能吸收热量,天气就变得像秋天一样凉爽。
在寒冷的冬天,这台机器会释放暖气,人们就不觉得冷了。
which means to change the global temperature to the room temperature (as cool as autumn) around 25 degree in Celsius. However, the global average temperature is just below 15 degree. Thus you never have enough energy to heat the atomosphere to be around 25 degree except the global warming. This point alone does not obey the law of energy conservation, not mention the second law of the thermodynamics.
Furthermore, suppose the second law of the thermodynamics hold, the changing of the temperture must be LOCAL rather than GLOBLE.
If we find a local range, in which the law of energy conservation hold but the second law of thermodynamics does not hold, then the machine created by the textbook much be a perpetual motion machine.
If we find another small enough local range, in which both laws are valid, then this machine works properly. Unfortunately, this local range is too small to comparable to the original meaning in that textbook article. We barely can change the temperature of a local house or building, but we cannot change the glable temperature.
